On Wed, April 10, 2019, Mr. Patrick Wallace from the Georgia Department of Education came and spoke to students enrolled in Spanish classes and members of the Spanish Club in response to an invitation from Mrs. Alexandra Flowers, SHS Spanish teacher. Mr. Wallace is the Program Specialist for World Languages and Global Word Initiatives. While talking to students, he stressed the importance of being bilingual in the 21st Century. He also made students aware that in order to succeed in a global economy, they will need to possess a new set of skills that were not required for the success of prior generations of Americans.
